Thieving Magpie
I really like this card. Not sen in constructed,
but very nice in casual and limited decks. Card
advantage is what this birdy will buy you. It's
main issue is that it can't get past 2/2 flyers,
but it can certainly block them in the meantime.
Fun to play.

Thieving Magpie
- Magpie is one of a long sucession of decent
blue creatures, starting with Ophidian, that
draw cards when they attack. Some have been
awful, and some have been incredible. Magpie is
right in the middle.
He comes with an evasion ability, which can't be
said for the current incarnation, Dimir
Cutpurse. He doesn't have to give him his damage
to draw cards, like 'Phid. He's reasonably
priced and doesn't die to Shock. Because of the
tendency for better card drawing options to show
up in the rare slot, it's unlikely that Magipie
is going to grace the tournament scene. However,
it can be game-breaking in limited. I think
we're going to see Magpie continue in the core
set for quite a while.
