Llanowar Elves

This is like Fyndhorn Elves. But these guys are the originals. They automatically get a higher score.

Llanowar Elves - Finally we get to the king of the forest. Often copied, often referenced, never beaten. Llanowar Elves rival even Birds of Paradise for power, and that's a rare. Much of what can be said for all mana elves can be said for the Llanowar variety. It's incredibly effective, it's cost efficient, and it's a staple of tournament decks since the beginning of time (or at least 1993). I for one am happy to see Llanowar Elves back in the core set, even if it was at the cost of Birds of Paradise. That decision let us have some great new art for both cards (since the Birds make an appearance in Ravnica). So don't complain that the Elves ousted the Birds. Instead be happy that black-bordered BoPs are easy to get.
