And we conclude tribal week here on COTD with an
Aurochs, one of the best ones. Rimehorn, besides
the attacking bonus, has one of the best
abilities ever to require snow mana. If you've
got snow mana, you can force bad blocks all over
the place with this guy and kill off creatures
at will. Like Drooling Groodion, it might be a
bit mana-intensive to catch on in constructed,
but it's a Limited bomb.
I've never really liked Aurochs. Creatures that
need other creatures to be strong enough to
warrant their cost just seem like begging for
over-extension. That being said, the Rimehorn
isn't all bad. His luring ability can be used to
generate combats between any creatures, rather
than just itself and something else. That can
cause some very unfortunate blocks for your
opponent. Especially if you've got a couple Bull
Aurochs to pump up the herd when you attack.
Aurochs are never going to be tournament viable,
but they are entertaining to say the least.
I dont know, I'm not so sure about this card.
Maybe in Limited, due to the sheer fact of its
effect and how big it is, this could help you
win a late game. I find no other use for it
Constructed at all, and well Casual....everyone
plays differently right? Let them have fun with
this card, i know i wont, i dont like it.
Constructed~1
Casual~1.5 (Woo-hoo it has trample, let the
peons use it)
Limited~2.8
