This guy seems like the super hatemonger. If
something tries to kill it, it tries to kill
everything else around it. Oddly, I see this
card getting abused in casual games and
two-headed giant formats. Players can target it
with a life gaining spell such as Drain Life for
two damage and get a lot of creatures as once.
Could be interesting. It's hard to get into play
with any reliability though.
Well, this one definitely got the short end of
the stick.
I'm sure all the combo-jockeys out there see
this and think "Might of Oaks". I see this and
think "Putrefy at the worst possible time". The
cost to size ratio is appropriate for a common
and the ability will be a drawback as often as
it is a boon. I tried to put together a five
color Nephilim deck last week for testing and
left this one out. It ran just fine and I never
thought that I should add it. This is easily one
of the worst cards in Guildpact.
Um....hmm. No, I don't think so. Unless someone
comes up with some cockamamy use for this, I
just can't imagine it being the bomb in four
colors. It's just too unweildly to get it into
early play, or into play at all, being 4 color,
and is it really worth the effort? =/
Again, unless someone comes up with a viable
combo, it's not worth casual consideration
either. And definitely not for limited play.
