At least we can end the week on a fun card. You
can use this over and over from hand to get
bonuses. You can use it as a combat trick. Or
you can just give multiple creatures a bonus. I
dig it a lot. I'm not sure where it would fit
into any current decks, but I wouldn't be
surprised to see this one used against me.
Forecast cards are a bit hard to evaluate. The
basic effect of this card is something that
pretty rarely sees play. Morale (or Warrior's
Honor - the later version) is pretty lame by
most accounts. In this case, the Forecast makes
up for it. Being able to pump one creature per
turn for only one mana comes in very handy. It
lets you sneak a little bit more damage through
with your flying creatures or pumps a big
attacker enough to become an even larger
nuissance. All without costing you any cards -
which is the real good part of this card.
Nope, don’t like this one either. For the same
cost you could get Glorious Anthem which is an
enchantment that gives all your creatures +1/+1.
This card can’t even hold a candle to Glorious
Anthem and its Forecast effect is not all that
great either. If you’re looking for a fast and
cheap way to pump your little guys I would even
suggest Crown of Convergence over this card.
.5/5 (Yup, yet another ˝ out of 5)
LIMITED
I still don’t like this card but I can see how
it could be useful in limited. It would be a lot
and I do mean A LOT better if you could use its
Forecast effect whenever you could play an
instant but I guess that’s simply too much to
ask for.
If you have the sand to run a weenie deck and
try to take out your opponent with a lot of
little guys in the early game, you might
consider this card but I wouldn’t think much of
it otherwise.

Steeling Stance
So Forecast is an interesting idea, but I
haven't played enough Dissension to know how
useful it is. Stance itself without the forecast
is only an okay "trick", since it only gives +1s
for 1WW - a bit expensive for the wimpiness of
it. But if you take away the surprise factor
after you forecast it once, it just isn't nearly
as good.
