I love this card. It's one of those cards that
no one seemed to pay attention to when it first
hit the scene, but after a few solid decks
playing it made some noise, everyone started
wanting it. What makes it even more threatening
is that it has dredge, so it may just keep
coming back when you need it.

Ugh, pure evil. Especially in limited. This is
one card that I dread to see in my opponent's
hand. It is also one I will grab and even splash
for if I have to. It's just that damn good.
There aren't a ton of answers to it in limited,
and if you don't have one, it's brutal. Great
card...fun to play.

This card has been praised to the heavens for
almost as long as it's been in print simply due
to the fact that it can regrow out of the
graveyard and attach to creature after creature,
much like an Equipment. It gets around the
difficulty inherent to Auras. But if this were
really an Equipment, which Equipment would it
be? I think it's closest to Vulshok Battlegear,
which saw absolutely no serious play at all. So
why is this card taking off? Maybe because you
don't pay mana to put it into play and then pay
an Equip cost. Or maybe because it can go to the
graveyard for whatever reason and still come
back. Or maybe because there's just no good
Equipment in Ravnica block at uncommon.

Enchanted creature gets +3,+3 and the card can
be returned to your hand by milling a very
reasonable two cards. This card has already
proven itself to be a constructed worthy card
and a reasonable first pick in limited. This is
part of the reason R/G decks are so fast and
resilient. Kird Apes become Wildfire resistant
and Dryad Sophisticates become 5/4 unblockable
powerhouses.

I don’t like him. If you’re playing U/W there
are better cards you can be using and this guy
simply doesn’t do enough to make the cut. His
effect is ok but he’s no Telling Time or
Compulsive Research, not to mention that a Wrath
of God on turn four is a lot better than a chump
blocker on turn three that costs 1UW for all
intents and purposes.

I don’t think I like this guy on this format
either. His effect is no great thing, he does
have the ability to keep a few creatures from
coming after you but if you find yourself
playing U/W in limited, the last thing you need
is more defensive cards.
