This is a sliver I can enjoy. It's a 1/1 for one
mana with a decent ability. Flanking is a pretty
solid deal. It's even better if you get
multiples onto the table. There's not much to
say about this sliver truthfully. It's a decent
creature on its own, and it adds a little extra
kick to the other slivers it's hanging out with.
Here's a load of fun! White Slivers tend to be
all defense, so it's nice to see a white Sliver
that wants to attack. If you can build an
aggresive Sliver deck with a lot of White, this
guy wants to be at the front lines.
The best
sliver abilities are those which are useful in
multiples. And, in case you didn't know,
Flanking works in multiples. Two instances of
Flanking means -2/-2. Sidewinder is, for this
reason, incredible. A couple of these out and
your slivers are incredibly hard to block.
Combine with Two-Headed Sliver and you've got
some creatures that are extremely dangerous on
the board. Combine with Quilled Sliver and you
can remove anything that doesn't die to the
flanking. This is a great sliver.
It's already above the curve as a 1/1 flanker
for W. Unless you take to blocking, this card
will bring down any number of x/1s, which is
pretty nice in a 1 drop. Flanking is a good
enough ability to make a difference as well,
particularly in limited. Not to mention that it
is cumulative (unlike something like, say,
flying, shadow or first strike) if you have many
Sidewinder Slivers out. Not flashy, but I like
it.

Now this is especially bad, as flanking is a
combat-oriented keyword, and the ability will
hardly ever come into play in constructed. The
only good thing about this is that it stacks,
but in constructed, no.
In casual, I'd rather give my slivers first
strike or spirit link than this.
In limited is where this is playable, as this is
common, and flanking is useful here to win
ground battles. Include it if you're playing
white and have enough slivers.
