This card seems
like it will have a few uses. It's not likely to
be super strong in standard play, but it is very
likely to be usable in older formats. Also,
casual players should be really big on this
card. It gives you a lot of options to get many
crazy things into play.
This is basically a combo card. This guy,
Ornithopter, and any huge noncreature artifact
you want to cheat into play. But most huge
artifacts worth cheating into play are
creatures, so Daggson has trouble finding his
combo. On the other hand, since most noncreature
artifacts that see play are typically Signets or
cheap Equipment, this makes a decent way for
monoblue to deal with artifact creaatures. Now
how many of those are there to worry about in
Standard or block? Not enough.
Constructed- 2
Casual- 4
Limited- 1
Patrick
Hendry
Arcum Dagsson
Well this guy is certainly intriguing. A 2/2 for
4 is not a very good deal, but this ability is
quite impressive. It won't make a very big
impact on standard right now, but I bet this guy
will be popping up in some combo decks after
Time Spiral comes out. How does this sound? Turn
2 artifact creature, turn four Arcum, turn 5
broken artifact combo death. Furthermore, this
ability may just be what affinity needs to make
a comeback in Extended.
If this guy is interesting in Constructed, he is
amazing in casual. Casual always loves tutoring
abilities, and it REALLY loves tutoring into
play. Sacrifice a mana myr for a myr incubator,
etc.
This is bad in limited. I don't think there are
any artifact creatures in limited that you want
to give up if you drafted them.
