It's a 7/7 with flash for only six mana. That
right there should be enough for it to get
played. Add in its ability to hose flying decks,
and you've got a card that monogreen should not
in good faith be able to avoid playing.

Cloudthresher
Cloudthresher takes the mana curve and breaks it
into little pieces, but not in a blatantly
overpowered way like Tarmogoyf does. It was
designed to hose Faeries, and it does so very
well. It does even sillier things in Standard
with Saffi Eriksdotter or Whitemane Lion thanks
to its evoke cost. This is one of my favorite
cards in Lorwyn, and if you play with it for
long, it might become one of your favorite cards
too.
The only downside is that it forces you into
heavy green (especially in limited). But it's
worth it.

Cloudthresher
This is pretty efficient for what it does. It's
7/7 and a field clearer for 6 mana which is a
bargain, and it has Flash and Reach. That's
pretty efficient. On top of that, it's even got
Evoke just in case something goes wrong. But
it's only 2 damage to fliers which has limited
use, probably only doing any decent damage to
Faeries, especially because Faeries won't expect
green to have an instant speed removal card when
they play their end of turn Teferi.
It still only has limited use, so it won't be
played in 4 copies, if it's even played at all.
It's power depends on the metagame. In limited
though, it kills enemy evasion and is a large
beatstick.

Cloudthresher
Today we review another interesting green card,
Cloudthresher. This card has also been showing
up in the Big Mana decks and in the sideboards
of other green builds.
Cloudthresher was designed with one distinct
purpose, total annihilation of flying creatures.
It is a massive blocker at 7/7 for 6 mana,
albeit insanely green intensive. It also can be
a one sided Wrath against any Faerie deck. Being
able to evoke this guy just to save your skin
can also be useful. Flash is just delicious
gravy on the side, being able to spar toe-to-toe
with Faeries' quickness. This guy is what green
is all about IMO.
