I think a lot of people are underestimating this
card. Those people are underestimating the power
of tempo. This card gains a creature for you
while (temporarily) removing a creature for
them, thus setting you much further ahead in the
race. If you suspend it, the creature it bounces
is one less creature that can block it, which
means that this can severely slow down your
opponent's clock and speed up your own in one
fell swoop. Just look at Ogre Savant and see how
unwilling they are to print good cards that can
do that, and you'll understand that there's a
lot of hidden power here.

An absolute staple in any sort of Blink deck.
You'll play him for the bargain suspend cost
more often than you'll hardcast him, and for
that investment of time you get some serious
tempo advantage plus a way to deal some damage.
With Momentary Blink, however, he just becomes
stupidly good. Play it in those decks; in
non-Blink decks, he can be played, but there are
far better options typically.
In limited, an amazing card if you're blue.
Bouncing their best creature + getting a 2/2
flier for 2 mana = awesome.

This is a solid creature that is getting a lot
of play in blink decks. By itself it is already
decent. 2/2 flier along with a built in
boomerang. But along with a blink build this
card can cause a lot of problems for your
opponent. Also in limited this is pseudo
removal for blue.

I like this creature. It's already made an
impact in constructed with Momentary Blink to
bounce all of your opponent's lands, and
suspending it on the second turn is a very solid
play in limited matches. The tempo it provides
can win matches outright, and it even has
flying. Play it.

Cosntructed: Working great in blink decks and
other decks abusing 187 creatures (creatures
with come into play triggers). The suspend cost
of only two lets a blue player going first
control even more tempo in just a few turns by
bouncing a creature there opponents might play
while still having counter mana up. The five
mana regular cost is a bit much for a boomerang
flier in my opinion and isn’t going to win a
damage race, but in a true dedicated control
deck time is on your side.
Casual/Multi: Boomerang is usually a pretty good
all purpose answer but in multiplayer and casual
sectors the body might just not be enough to
compete with dragons and angels and wurms that
are running around. You might buy yourself some
tempo but you best be ready to deal with the
card on the way back down. Momentary blink is a
good call, along with other white replay effects
like Astral Slide and Ghostway. Warped Devotion
is also a good way of getting great use out of a
lot of bounce effects with discard in a way that
can work with multiple players.
Limited: 187 creatures are always a good snag in
limited as they offer a body as well as a spell
like ability. Also heavily wanted are creatures
with evasion and cheap efficient creatures. The
cloudskate offers all three of these functions
in one package making it a good pick.

Cloudskate:
This card is interesting. I've seen it used in
momentary blink decks to great effect. It is a
bit more of a casual card, though. I haven't
seen very many tournament worthy decks that make
much use of it (other than blink-riders, which
doesn't see much play).

When Riftwing Cloudskate comes into play, return
target permanent to
its owner's hand.
Suspend 3 - 1U
I didn't think this card could see contructed
play when it came out but
I was wrong. Suspending this on turn 2 gives out
an extremely efficient
creature that gives you a lot of tempo as well
as a reusable bouncer
with Momentary Blink. It even has haste and
flying to hit for 2 life.
In casual, this thing bounces your opponent's
stuff which makes comboes
so much harder to go off. Giant beatsticks also
get bounced as well.
In limited, evasion and bounce is very good.
Suspending it on turn 2
when you won't do anything else anyway is
superb.
