Everyone loved Mana Flare. Well, now, not only
does it work on all mana-producing permanents,
but it only gives you the benefit! No more
accidently powering out your opponent's Dragons!
Play this on turn six, and next turn you have 14
mana!
Wait, what? The fact that this costs six means
that it doesn't really accelerate you to
anything. You should already be able to play
whatever you had by the time you play this,
unless you're running X-spells.dec. Cool, but
not terribly useful at its cost.

Mana Reflection
Its a Heartbeat of Spring that costs way more
mana. Granted, only you get the effect and it
works for any permanent, not just lands, but the
use of a card like this is only a mana generator
for combo and the 6 mana really hoses it. It's
also not very searchable.

Mana Reflection
This card has some
constructed potential. It is very similar to
Mirari’s Wake, which spawned two constructed
decks (Cunning Wake and Burning Wake). I don’t
know if that style of deck has the right
elements to materialize into a winner, but the
potential is there.
Casual players ought
to love this card. It can power out 10+ damage
Fireballs all day long.
In limited, this card
is a fifteenth pick every time. If you need
twelve mana to cast your cards, you shouldn’t be
playing them.

Mana Reflection
It costs twice as much as Heartbeat of Spring -
but that's okay, because the effect is, in the
abstract, roughly twice as powerful due to its
asymmetry. I'm not sure if it can be broken in
Standard without Early Harvest; in Extended, the
faster format may favor Heartbeat for a while
longer. But watch out for this card. It's going
places.
