Protip: The Liege buffs the
tokens it makes up to 3/3. Which is good,
since the Liege itself is only a 2/2. It
probably has one of the best extra abilities of
the Eventide Lieges, but at 2/2 it just dies too
easily. If you're playing black/green,
you'll play this, especially since you probably
have a way to regenerate it or reanimate it.
But don't be surprised when it dies quickly.
At least you'll have tokens...

Wednesday - Creakwood Liege
Another good card in the liege cycle.
Unfortunately, this thing does have a big fat
target on its butt, and he dies to pretty much
any burn spell. Considering that red is a top
tier deck right now, I don't expect this to see
play unless that changes. I'd probably still
play him in a B/G deck anyway, though, because
if your opponent cannot deal with him, you will
overwhelm them with an army of 3/3s.
In limited, this is powerful, but the color
requirements are awfully steep unless you're
solid B/G. Still, 3/3 tokens every turn will
eventually win you the game.

Creakwood Liege
How many times did you have to read the card
before you realized that the tokens will be 3/3
as long as the Liege is in play? Looks a lot
better now, doesn't it? It's probably not enough
to dislodge the two-mana Phyrexian Arena (Bitterblossom)
from constructed decks, but he's still far from
useless or boring. Paradox Haze loves this guy.

Creakwood Liege
Constructed: He looks good, he smells
good, well maybe, actually it does not have no
smell at all, except the one that got Big Red
spill on it. Anyways. Not seen it in Standard or
Block, I think it is a little to small, a 2/2
for four. It's ability makes up for it's size.
For it being green and black, when it comes into
play it becomes the big red target to kill.
Casual: This is a okay card for
green and black decks. Alot of people like
Horrors, so he can go into a mono black Horror
deck a start pumping them up. Like I said the
size does matter with some casual players.
Limited: This the card you would
save your Unmake for. Being a rare, I would pick
it over alot of removal. Sealed deck if there is
enough green and black or hybrid creatures to
support him I would build a deck with him. I
would not rely on this Liege for the win
condition, but it will put pressure on your
opponent to take care of him or be over run by
a lot of Worms. BIG Worms! I hate Worms.
Overall a great creature that goes good with any
Stompy or Rock type deck. It's killable by alot
of different spells so it is not the best we
seen so far. If you have seen 'The Magic Show'
on YouTube, checking it out.
