It's funny how efficient creatures can get these
days before anybody sees fit to comment on it.
If Wild Nacatl had first been printed thirteen
years ago rather than now, it may well have
ended up banned in the original Extended format
(look up Kird Ape's history in Extended, if
you're not familiar with that story). These
days, a 2/2 creature for one mana is almost not
unusual any more, and Wild Nacatl is almost
"just another" one, albeit one that is equally
good in both red-green and green-white decks and
outstanding in three-color decks. Play it early,
play it often.

Wild Nacatl
Constructed:
The new and improve Kird Ape. This hot common is
in almost all Zoo decks. Give it a try, you will
not be disappointed.
Casual:
Should see a lot of play since it is a common.
Limited:
Good solid creature for Naya. Not my top pick
unless I am deep in green and red or white too.
Good to get more than one and see what happens.
Sealed deck it is just another good solid
creature.
Overall a very strong card for the starting
gate.

Wild Nacatl
This is going to be the replacement for
Kird Ape in extended Zoo decks (at least until
the shock lands rotate out). It also has a place
in limited. While alot of people will dismiss it
because it is somewhat difficult to get the
maximum effect out of the card, a 2/2 for 1 is
still a great deal. I can easily see it getting
play in exalted decks that use a more aggro play
style. However in constructed don't get your
hopes up, it simply doesn't have a place and
there is really no other reason to play with
basic lands.
