For 3R, a pretty much unkillable 1/1 blocker.
Well, unkillable by combat damage. And of course
if it blocks a creature with shroud, it can't
deal it's damage. Is this worth 3R? Ravnica
block's Order of the Stars doesn't seem to think
so. Then again, that was in white, a color
that's supposed to be good at this sort of
thing. For red, a color not accustomed to
building a strong defense, this is... well,
actually, red can do a lot better at four mana.
It could burn and kill an attacker. Even the
Goblin subtype, which has earned countless cards
in ages past slots in decks they didn't deserve
on their merit, can't bail out this jolly old
soul.

Goblin Snowman
Happy holidays, loyal readers! I've always
gotten a kick out of this card, ever since the
first time I saw it. Even though I've never put
it in a constructed deck or been lucky enough to
play it in a limited event (no-one ever passed
me one in who knows how many Time Spiral drafts
- maybe because they noticed that it completely
blanks staples like Viscerid Deepwalker and
Durkwood Baloth), it's a very cute top-down
design in every sense of the word. Who doesn't
want to prepare for combat by deploying a group
of goblins who throw snowballs at the enemy? For
being a "junk" uncommon that Serra Avatar can't
get past, Goblin Snowman gets maximum points.

Monday - Goblin Snowman
Nifty card from a flavor standpoint, pointless
card from a gameplay standpoint. It can block
without dying then ping its attacker, which
won't do much to most creatures. If you play
this it's for the fun of it, because, come on,
it's a snowman that throws snowballs! Who
doesn't want to play with an angry, possessed
snowman? Anyways, this is strictly a casual
card.
