This has the same shortcoming when compared to
Coat of Arms that Sage of Fables does when
compared to more traditional Lords-- it doesn't
benefit those that came before, just those you
play while this is already in play. Well, that's
not entirely true. It will give +1/+1 to all
[type of your choice] once you play another one.
And it counts tribal instants and sorceries, so
A Gilt-Leaf Ambush will retroactively give +1/+1
to the tokens it makes. I'm just disappointed
that, unlike Coat of Arms, you can't just drop
it and suddenly your army has +4/+4 on the
attack. But it is cheaper, so maybe it'll see
use in its own right.

The prerelease card was appropriately chosen as
it highlights the them of tribes. I think Coat
of Arms is still better for the surprise factor.
But, this card does keep those creatures bigger
and bigger even if you don't have a bunch of
them out. A fun card, but not really a
competitive one.
