A 3/5 for 2GG is decent stats, and its Kinship
ability is absolutely amazing. If it triggers,
you play the top card of your library for free,
and then draw the next card. It's effectively a
painless Phyrexian Arena, except even stronger
since it outright gives you the spell without
paying for it.

When you see the words "play it without paying
its mana cost" on a Magic card, it's often time
to panic. There are a few good cards to cheat
out with the Elder - Doran, Eternal Witness, and
Nameless Inversion spring to mind - but at only
during your upkeep and only once each turn, it's
not going to break the universe. Pretty solid
with Harbingers, though.

A fairly cheap kinship card for it's effect. If
you are going to build a treefolk deck, this is
a must as most treefolk are real expensive and
having this in there will allow you to save some
mana for other effects. You could not ask for a
better choice than to have the treefolk that
makes all treefolk indestructible.
