It's a 5/2 with maybe haste for 3R. Yeah, it
firebreathes, but if Molten Sentry didn't catch
on, I don't see this going anywhere. Granted,
it's a relevant creature type, but there's
better Elementals and better Warriors for your
money. With two toughness, all this will do is
kill whomever your opponent decides to block it
with. And since Warren Weirding already gave us
a cheaper "target player sacrifices a creature"
card, I'm not interested.

Vengeful Firebrand
The Firebrand looks like a pretty good play to
follow an opposing board sweeper, when you will
(in a properly constructed deck) have Warriors
in your graveyard. In the old days, getting hit
by Ball Lightning was basically game over
because of all the burn spells you knew the red
deck had; Vengeful Firebrand only does one point
less damage and can be inflated if you have
spare mana. I think this card is only waiting
for its moment.

Again, this is a splashable card. Anything that
has haste can be helpful and there are not many
option for this in block constructed. A 5/2
surprise hit is not too bad. However, cards like
blistering firecat and Solifuge were extra good
because a simple shock or terror could not stop
the surprise hit. As a result, I doubt this will
see much effective play.
