This monstrosity of changelings piled on top of
one another is bound to be a force to be
reckoned with in the coming months. A 4/4 for
four, with pro:black, and the ability to pump
itself if need be. Of course, its pump ability
is costly and wil probably only see use in the
late game, or with a Giant Growth effect for an
attempt at a quick win. Or, in conjunction with
some of Lorwyn's lords. Even so, 4/4's for 4
have historically been worth playing at worst.

Chameleon
Colossus
I actually think the neatest thing about
Chameleon Colossus is not the power-doubling
effect, but rather the Changeling ability. That
means it provides any green deck with a Loxodon
Hierarch-like creature which benefits from
tribal lords, and is nearly immune to black
removal. Is it better than Mystic Enforcer at
hosing black decks? Perhaps not, but it may be
better at the top of a mana curve with Imperious
Perfect (or even nastier, Scion of Oona) below
it. Time will tell for sure, but I expect to see
the Colossus in Standard lists somewhere,
sometime.

Chameleon
Colossus
It's a 4 mana 4/4, changeling, protection from
black and a good ability. What more can you
possibly want? The protection from black makes
it immune to half of the removal up there and
the pump effect takes care of almost the other
half. Let's pray you have Oblivion Ring, Crib
Swap or countermagic ready. It's impressive size
and it's ability can easily take down an
opponent in a few turns making it a hard to kill
yet dangerous creature.
In limited, this is a bomb. How does one kill
this thing?

Tuesday's card
is Chameleon Colossus from Morningtide. For four
mana, you get a 4/4 that is all creature types
and for 4 mana doubles in size. The fact that it
is relatively cheap for its size and is all
creature types may make it a good addition for
green, but its pump ability is a bit expensive.
Of course, you could use some Giant Growths and
then the ability to make it huge. Of course it
is not hard to give it trample, flying or
whatever since it is all creature types.
