Turn two it can be attacking as a 2/2.
Turn three it can be a 4/4. By turn six it
can be an 8/8 flyer with first strike. If
you've got them and you're going any sort of
aggro, you'll want to play this. It's that
simple. The one downside? If you're
running any colors besides red or white, this
loses a lot of dependability.

A pretty strong card, I see this getting lots of
play in white weenie. He's essentially a 2/2,
and he only gets bigger after that. You do have
to pay to make him stronger, but a deck that
wants to use this should never need to go past
the 4/4 version. If you pump him all the way up
to 8/8 flying, you'll probably win the game, but
any deck using this will never have enough spare
mana to bother with that, because they'll either
be dead or have won the game by then. The best
part is this guy is easy to get because he comes
in a starter.
Solid in limited as well. He gives you something
to do with your excess mana, and ultimately
gives you a win condition.

Figure of Destiny
Figure of Destiny reminds me of the flip cards
from the Kamigawa block, but the final stage of
his transformation is much more threatening than
any of those (except maybe Stabwhisker the
Odious, or Kuon's Essence). I like the idea
behind this little guy, and I think he will be
tried in aggressive decks as he provides a use
for otherwise dead mana. He won't change the
entire game the way Dark Confidant or Tarmogoyf
did, but like them, the threat of leaving him in
play is great enough that he will often be a
lightning rod that allows your other creatures
to get there.

When I first read the card I thought the
activations only lasted till end of turn and
thought the card sucked. Then I realized it did
not and saw the power of this card. This will
be an auto-include in any aggro white/red deck
that wants an early beater. The great thing is
that this is not a dead card in the later game
and has the potential to just be bigger. Count
on seeing this card for a while to come. This
is one of the best creatures in the set.

Constructed: If not delt with befor the
fifth turn that this little guy came out it
could turn into a real problem. Standard and
Block there is alot of creature removal. So it
should not be that great of the threat.
Casual: Fun card for fun decks.
Just use Rite of Flame into a Seething Song and
add a little water to this wonder little flower
and watch him
growwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....
Limited: A solid on drop that will
force you opponent to either deal with him or
save their creature removal for something you
might have better in your deck. It can be a
great decoy, or a real threat. Good thing he is
a rare.
Overall a good little card. Make a little engine
that could deck. Hummmm he is not Legendary?
