Predator Dragon

The multicolor theme is arguably the most overused theme in all of Magic, but you can't deny that when it returns, it brings lots of powerful and fun cards with it. Predator Dragon will be remembered as the creature that attacked for 142 damage at Pro Tour Berlin, and probably even more at people's kitchen tables around the world. Decks based on Saprolings, Slivers, Myr, and other creatures that like to swarm with tokens have always been popular, and Predator Dragon will undoubtedly be a popular addition to many of those decks for years to come.

Predator Dragon

Constructed: Well there is not much to say about this card except to check out the Elves decks at PT Berlin. Outside of those Extended decks this bad boy can be played in other formats to. Standard a little to slow for most of the format. Shards block set up with a couple of Dragon Fodders and maybe use Goblin Assault. Big dumb Dragon wins games.

Casual: A lot of good Dragons for a fun Dragon deck.

Limited: Must have Dragon Fodder to make this guy really work the best. Overall it is still a 4/4 for 6 flying and haste, which is very good on it's own.

Over a very good Dragon card, that had a big showing in PT Berlin Elf decks.

Nice card. Recently saw some play in ELVES! decks during the extended tournament. I can see this card doing well in standard but I can also see it failing miserably. If this didn't have haste it wouldn't see play at all. HOWEVER it does have haste and that makes all the difference. Even sacrificing 1 creature lets you hit for 6, if you've got a few bitterblossom tokens lying around this can make a big splash. Speaking of which, seeing this is Fae decks would really be interesting and not to hard to pull off with today's mana bases.
In limited absolute bomb, the triple R could be a problem but if your running red main defiantly take it.
In casual put it in a Jund deck, sac some tokens and swing for the win.

Constructed: 3/5 ?
Casual: 3.5/5
Limited: 3/5 (because of RRR)

*Note to everyone, my exams will be finishing this Tuesday (Woo!) so I'll try to get some Garage articles up soon after.
