Did you know that Crater Hellion isn't on the
reserved list, but Citanul Centaurs is? I really
don't understand how some of those decisions
were made. Until the next block with Echo, when
the original Hellion will hopefully make its
triumphant return, enjoy playing with this one.
With the right timing, it can deliver a blow
that no-one can recover from in either
constructed or limited, and gets downright scary
with tokens or small throwaway creatures like
Elvish Visionary or Ravenous Rats - I saw
Caldera Hellions the size of Leviathans
attacking people at the Alara pre-release.

Caldera Hellion
Constructed:
The Devour ability is okay, but if it does not
have flying or trample than it is just another
big creature that you gave up some of your other
creatures. But it's second ability can clear the
board with 3 damage to all creatures. So it
would be wise to Devour your creatures unless
they are bigger than 3 toughness. A little slow
for Standard and it does not have haste or
flying so I would not expect to see in many
decks.
Casual:
Okay creature that has a big effect.
Multi-player it will affect everyone.
Limited:
There is a lot of big creatures that are already
out by the time you play this guy. If they have
a lot of smaller creatures than it will be great.
But I would take it, but will not put to much
into it's Devour ability.
Overall a fun card to play around with, but not
one of the good Devour creature.

Nice board sweeper and the cost isn't to
extreme. Not going to see it is constructed,
most people would rather run wrath/firespout. In
limited and casual however this is a lot better.
Sac a creature, wipe the board and be left with
a beater, sweet.
