Crucible of Fire

As a Glorious Anthem-style effect, Crucible of Fire is a little expensive, and affects creatures that mostly cost more than it does (barring the odd Chameleon Colossus or Taurean Mauler). It's not likely to make major waves in competitive constructed, but casual players will love it (also me) - the only thing better than a dragon that hits for five is a dragon that hits for eight!

Crucible of Fire

Constructed: Dragons do not need a Glorious Anthem. Dragons show up in combo decks as the win condition. There has not been a true Dragon deck that plays just Dragons only, no combo.

Casual: Dragons are big enough.

Limited: If you are the luckest person in the world to open up all 4 Dragons and Sarkhan Vol and Crucible of Fire in your sealed deck pool. Than take a picture, write it down, tell everyone. that would be totally awesome. But I would not pick or use this card.

Overall making your Dragons bigger is always a good thing. But why?

Constructed: 2

Casual: 3

Limted:1

I guess this end the Red week of Card of the Days.

Have a great weekend.

Miguel
