Soul Snuffers

There's so much that's good about this card. Against the right decks, it can be a one-sided Damnation. It gives out -1/-1 counters, so the damage it does is permanent, unlike Pestilence or Festercreep. It's a creature, so it can rise from the dead courtesy of Makeshift Mannequin or Debtors' Knell (and also attack for the win). It was rightly feared in the recently concluded Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block PTQs, and will give lots of decks game against creature hordes for years to come.

Soul Snuffers

Constructed: Anti-Faries here it is. The only down side is it's 2-black in its mana cost makes for heavy black decks. Plus you have to hope it does not get countered.

Casual: It is a black Elemental Shaman. Throw him in with Incandescent Soulstoke and make some havoc amongst the multi-player games.

Limited: Great hoser for all of those wonder perist creatures everybody like to play with. It is a 3/3 for 4 which makes it a good solid dude. Again the 2 black will make you play black.

Overall a good creature for what it does and it's mana cost. Use him with Kulrath Knight to shut down your opponents creatures or with Gilder Bairn if you really want to be bold.
