Ignore the "...and all other permanents" part
for a minute. 1BG is a fair price to pay to be
able to kill any type of permanent (except
lands). Not only is it decent creature removal,
but it's also artifact/enchantment removal, and
even planeswalker removal. Make this your kill
spell of choice and there's no need to make room
in your sideboard for Naturalize.
The extra part about killing other copies will
rarely come up, as people don't often have
multiples of the same card in play. But the fact
that it could come up brings this card's stock
up a bit-- especially since most of the time, if
your opponent has tokens, most of them will all
have the same name.
It's real, and it's spectacular. Say good-bye to
Mirror-Sigil Sergeant and his better halves,
good riddance to Empty the Warrens' seething
masses, and good night to that guy in your
playgroup who likes Oblivion Ring way too much.
The only thing I wonder is, since both green and
black can destroy lands, why can't this card?
Either way, play it early and play it often.
Constructed:
This card can give green black decks some more
raw power. This new Vindicate can take care of
some of those tribal decks out there. But I
think will will be used for 'Planeswalker
removal' more than any thing else.
Casual:
It should see some play.
Multiplayer:
This can cause alot of pain for players playing
the same type of decks.
Limited:
This is a great removal spell for limited.
Especially if someone has a Planeswalker.
Overall a great card that will see alot of play
when Standard changes this fall and should make
a big splash in Alara Block.
