Much like Traumatic Visions from Conflux, this
epitomizes flexibility. Early game, you cycle it
for a basic land. Once you've got a good amount
of those, this can come down and do a decent
Lava Axe/Ball Lightning impression. Watch for
this card in Limited, especially if you think
you'll want to splash one of its colors, or
both.
Much like Pale Recluse last week, an effectively
"modal" creature which is a late heavy hitter
and an early color fixer is bound to be a
winner. As a couple of people in various
discussions have pointed out, this cycle is even
better than the Fiery Fall cycle because they
can find your first basic land of the relevant
type if you don't already have one.

As I mentioned last week, I wanted to see
something we could reanimate with the cycle
ability. This is not bad. Turn 2 cycle it. By
turn 4 makeshift manniquin it. For 6, it will
rarely see hardcaste play...too bad it does not
have some form of evasion because this will
likely mean it won't see any kind of play. A
card made to keep limited play possible with the
multicolored block.
Constructed:
5/1 Haste for 6 mana is to expensive. The
specific land cycling is ok, but I would prefer
to get any basic land.
Casual:
He is big, should big a hit for awhile.
Multiplayer:
Ehhhh.
Limited:
This is a great card for any limited format.
With a all Alara Reborn draft this guy would be
great to get extra copies of. Early game get
your lands out and mid to late game he can apply
alot of pressure. Unless there are some good
pingers or first-stikers he will do just fine.
Overall just another common, but should do will
in Limited.
