The fact that she has haste doesn't mean much
here, since you'd almost never swing with her.
And you need R to activate her ability, so if
you play her turn four, you're still not getting
3/1's until turn five. But it is cool that the
Spark Elementals she spits out don't actually
die at end of turn like so many 3/1 Elemental
tokens do. In theory you could amass a small
army of them. Of course, it's almost always
better to attack, attack, attack, which means
they won't live long. But they will smash their
fair share of face before they go.

Conflux has some of the most powerful cards
printed in recent years, but it also has some of
the most fun cards. Rakka Mar is perfectly fine
on her own, guaranteeing three attacking power
each turn, but can certainly be more than a
one-trick pony. Sure, you'll have to scan your
collection for keywords like "comes into play,"
or "whenever a creature attacks"; but if you
can't find things like that on red cards, you're
doing something wrong.

Constructed:
Mono red decks could use this for keeping the
pressure on. It's double red will keep out of
some multi-colored decks.
Casual:
It is a nice Legendary creature for someones
legend deck.
Limited:
With extra red available you can start pumping
out 3/1's at the end of their turn. Good solid
creature, the double red makes it more harder to
splash in other decks.
Cards like this amuse me. I feel that about the
time I start baching this card, it will be used
in some crazy deck :)
Seriously though, this card just isn't efficient
enough to see any significant playing time. Four
mana 2/2 creatures have to be EXTREMELY good to
get played (see: Solemn Simulacru m). Rakka Marr
does generate a token every turn and that's
nice, but they are also 3/1's. That makes them
easily to kill. If he didn't have haste, it
would be hard to even give him a second look.
In a limited environment, you definitely play
this guy. At that point you're investing in
perpetual elemental tokens and not so much in
the creature itself.

This chick is insane in limited, it's basicallly
an I win card merely by producing endless 3/1
haste production. In constructed i don't think
this will see much play as there are so many
other cards competing for red's 4 slot. As far
as casual goes, sure throw this in an elemental
deck for 4/2 hastes each turn.

I'll say right of the bat that this is one of my
favorite cards from this set.
This is one of the better token generating cards
out there right now. Right from the get go it's
going to create a token for you; moreover, it
can attack right then. So basically you end up
paying five mana to get two creatures on the
board, one of which is a 3/1 thats going to
swing right away. With the potential for a TON
of additional tokens on the way, all with haste.
I think it's a real cool card with potential but
I'm not so sure it cuts it right about now. Only
time will tell. Still, great, fun card.
