Anything that wipes the board clean and leaves a
threat on your side of the board is practically
instant win. The more likely it is that nothing
of your opponent's will survive, and that
something of yours will, the better. At seven
plus mana, this is that win.

It must be hard to design an interesting Wrath
of God variant. They usually have to cost five
or more, but give you something else in
addition, which should be worthwhile enough to
give you a reason to play it some of the time,
but not be so overpowered that it obsoletes the
original and annoys all the people who've
invested in it as though it were real estate.
Martial Coup is a definite success - it's almost
like a modal spell which is never useless, and
can even finish the game outright for you. And
the tokens are even a relevant creature type
(Knight-Captain of Eos says hi).

I just don't know what to think about this card.
WOTC has made yet another wrath variant and this
one lets you have quite an attacking horde on
the board when it resolves. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...I
hear it already...this card costs 7 to do that.
Well it should.

I really like this card because it just offers
so much advantage in addition to flexibility all
wrapped up with nice flavour. Most of the time
you'll want X=5+ for perhaps a +2/3 for Wrathing
then another +5 with the tokens for a total of
+7/8 in card advantage which is definitely worth
it for 7 mana with little colour requirement.
Early game, you can cast it with X=3-4 for a
decent although expensive defense. The tokens
don't have flying so they are safe from
Cloudthresher or Scattershot Archer unlike
Spectral Procession tokens. So overall a very
powerful card in Constructed and definitely a
1-of in BW Tokens and worth a shot in any
control deck running white.
In multiplayer, before, when you Wrath the
board, you would be basically down a turn in
rebuilding since you used mana casting Wrath.
Now, you get 5 tokens to start off with.
Limited, good removal with tons of advantage is
awesome.

Constructed:
This is a great card for early came and late
game. It is great to destroy all creatures and
have a army to swing in next turn. This goes
great into any of the token decks for Standard.
Casual:
Clear the board in a big multi-player game and
have a army again to either attack or defend.
Good thing it is not a instant.
Limited:
Creature removal is always top picks on my list.
A this is a bomb for Draft and or Sealed deck. I
would try it with Unearth creatures.
Overall one of my top cards from Conflux.

The conflux wrath variant and I'm lovin' it.
Especially in casual games where the mana can
get high and plenty of tokens come around.
Constructed still has wrath and probably always
will. Doubt this will ever take its place.
Limited, creatures win, one-sided wraths pwn,
nuf said.
