This is one of those cards that has never been
bad, but hasn't seen high-level play either
(other than in draft). The effect is perfectly
fine, but there are other cards with similar
effects and other bonuses - Jace, for example,
is a similar card but is reusable. Still, it
shouldn't be discounted entirely; Tidings has
been popular since its original printing, for
example, and a miniature version like this could
have a role to play.
Today's card of the day is going to be a quick one
as Divination really doesn't need much said
about it. For three mana you draw two cards
gaining you a one card advantage and moving
through the deck a bit.
This is a very useful card, but with no other
effect it isn't necessarily included in many
decks.
For Constructed, Casual, and Multiplayer this is
a good card to help you get card advantage or to
put together an important combo. The only
drawback is the three mana cost, but it is a
solid topdeck later in the game.
With Limited this should be played in every deck
running Blue in Sealed and I have even done Blue
as a splash primarily because of the card
advantage this offers. With choices like Ponder
and Sage Owl in the same set this is a very
useful tool. In Booster this can be a high pick
in a pack if no major flying or removal is
present in your color and a few of these can
turn a mediocre pool with few solid cards into a
serious threat.
