I rather like this card's art - it reminds me
of a lot of recent offerings from the Pathfinder
RPG, and considering how well that game has done
by combining elements from standard fantasy,
weird fantasy, science fiction crossovers, the
pulp era, Lovecraftian themes, and basically
everything else, you could do worse as a model.
And this card's also not bad once you actually
get to its game text. Its "modes" mean that it
has game against both early fliers and mid- to
late-game dragons, and there are few "spider"
variants over the years that can say that. For
Standard play, it may suffer in comparison with
Polukranos and the like (at least for a few more
months), but more generally, I don't think you'd
ever be ashamed to have this in your deck.
