Much like yesterday's Card of the Day,
Mirrorpool suggests access to very specific
effects for colors that generally don't get them
(or at least not often). It will be especially
spectacular in decks that can recur lands, but
almost every deck plays at least some instants
and sorceries, and few decks will balk at having
another copy of their best creature. I find it
slightly unfortunate that you can't use it to
copy an opposing counterspell or burn spell and
turn it on the caster; still, even as written,
it offers some insane (in the positive Stephen
Menendian-style use) plays. Copying an Acquire
or Bribery is probably something close to the
Magic equivalent of Brock Lesnar's F5, and
targeting Warp World or Scrambleverse would no
doubt cause a lot of people to scoop on the
spot!
