This is an odd sort of card to consider. The
promise of repeatable flying finishers is
undeniably tempting, but the sorts of decks that
are likely to be able to build to its mana cost
might also want to keep playing lands for other
reasons (Remand backup?), rather than discard
them. It does offer some welcome resilience in
the control mirror, as holding back only one
land gives you insurance against a topdecked
answer, and if you're alive to cast this card,
you might only need to deal with one answer
anyway. It also just happens to be in the right
colors for the best spell-centric decks and
support cards in Commander.
