This is a good example of the sort of
interaction I still find it odd to see in green,
Titania's Song notwithstanding. It is solid
enough as a late-game use for an early play
(Prophetic Prism springs to mind as a target),
but it does pose an interesting question about
how early you can turn something into a large
creature to get an advantage. If Sol Ring is
legal in your format of choice, it would
certainly help, but if you don't have anything
to target other than the Ring itself, it
wouldn't be that much faster than just casting a
different creature that costs four mana or
thereabouts. I can't help but feel that there is
a casual deck out there somewhere that both
wants and needs this card.
This spell isn't amazing, but it does three good
things: it can pump an artifact creature, it can
pump a Vehicle, or it can make you an artifact
blocker/attacker in a pinch. In theory, you can
also use it to blow up an artifact you control
for G, but it's more likely going to be used in
more conventional ways. It's the kind of spell
that helps in Limited for keeping your engines
going, and it can enable a massive blowout
swing, but it’ll rarely be the star.
