Blood Moon
This is one of the most context-dependent cards
in Magic. In some matchups, it's basically an
off switch for the opponent's deck, and in
others it might literally do nothing. There's
not really any middle ground with Blood Moon;
generally you're either winning when you cast it
or not playing it at all. Interestingly, it is
arguably somewhat less of an H-bomb in its
native environment, as there are excellent
artifact and other non-land mana producers in
the 1994 card pool and many of them help you
cast things like Tranquility or Disenchant. If
you're getting into Old School constructed,
though, I'd still recommend getting some - if
nothing else, they help deal with the
ubiquitous Mishra's Factory.
