Sandwurm Convergence
I'm having flashbacks to Frank Herbert's Dune,
and even further back to Barsoom and Helium. And
I like it! While the card's first effect is not
the most powerful effect for a color that can
damage or destroy those same flying creatures
outright, getting a 5/5 for free is almost worth
the price of admission alone, especially for
multiplayer. It ensures you'll always have a
blocker and helps with anything that counts
creatures coming into play, and gives you a
stream of things for Naya's high-power-matters
cards and the like without having to spend any
additional resources.

Sandwurm Convergence (5/5)
This is definitely more a
fun card, but it's a very fun card. It blocks
flying creatures from attacking you, and it
gives you a Wurm each turn. It's, at worse, an
8-mana 5/5 with an additional 5/5 each turn; it
can hose a lot of big flying creatures, like
Angels and Dragons, as well as the smaller
flying creatures in other colors.
I think it's definitely too
expensive to really make a splash, but it's a
fun card. It can combo with Moat-style effects
for 62% more fun, and a steady stream of Wurms
can make the game more fun. But 8 mana is a lot
to ask for, and the protection only helps in a
handful of cases or late games.
