Revel in Riches

This is a very tempting card to build around - not just because of that magical "you win the game" text, but because of all the gold doubloons in the art! It's not as easy as some, of course, because it's not only has a mid- to late-game mana cost that gets you into the area where you might actually be running low on cards yourself, but also specifically needs your opponent to have enough creatures to trigger it reliably. It's certainly an interesting way to punish opponents who rely heavily on graveyard shenanigans of various kinds, and you can always take advantage of the treasure-creating clause on its own, although that might be a little slow to include in a constructed deck that isn't trying to win with the card.

He who dies with the most, wins. Or something. Revel in Riches is definitely worth at least a look, thanks to that little line of text at the bottom: if you start a turn with 10 or more Treasure tokens, you win. And it even makes you Treasure with its static effect, giving you one when an opponent’s creature kicks the bucket.

As a five-mana enchantment with little immediate impact on the board, I don’t love this. There’s a tension between using the Treasure you get to make bigger and cuddlier things and hoarding it to trigger the instant win, and it seems like an easy trap to fall into, sitting on Treasure until you die. If you can avoid that and mostly focus on the token generation, this seems more likely to benefit you long-term. And it also gives your board wipes a massive upside, so there is that.

I can see people trying to make this work in Constructed, and it could well get there! Treasure generation is definitely common in this set, and this is a nice top-end reward for looting and pillaging. Just don’t get caught up in hoarding treasure to the exclusion of playing the game.
