Well, Mr. A, I'm glad to be
of service. I won't pass
judgement on the creatures
you've chosen for
reanimation, since
reanimator decks can use
just about any creature at
all with a tricky casting
cost. I'll focus all my
energy on the other cards in
your deck instead.
First of all, for the cards
you use to get those massive
creatures into the
graveyard. Four Buried
Alive are probably enough,
but I see you also have
Putrid Imp and Careful
Study, in case you happen to
draw these cards, Good
choices all, but I'm not
sure about Impulse. I think
Impulse would probably be
better off as Lore Broker or
Cephalid Looter-- that way
you can reuse them, discard
a reanimation target if you
draw it, and it gives you
more creatures you can
actually expect to cast, in
case Putrid Imp needs a
little backup all of a
sudden.
Next, the cards with which
you do the actual
reanimating. Exhume looks
fine, provided your opponent
doesn't have something scary
in his graveyard.
Reanimate, on the other
hand, worries me. If you
want to target, say, Verdant
Force with it, you lose
seven life. That's about a
third of what you had when
you started. Can you really
afford to pay that much
life? I doubt it. So,
replace Reanimate with
something. The best options
I can find are Zombify,
Beacon of Unrest, Animate
Dead, and Doomed
Necromancer, but there are
still other options open if
you can find them.
Then there's the issue of
Demonic Tutor and Yawgmoth's
Will. I'm surprised to see
these cards in the list,
mainly because they're very
rare, and very powerful.
I'm not exactly sure what
your intended target for
Yawgmoth's Will is, or if
it's in there purely for its
raw power, but I suppose if
you have the card you might
as well play it.
Finally, your mana base. I'm surprised to see 4 Lotus Petal, and I suppose that's fine, but I want to suggest Dimir Signet because the Signet can be used and reused while the Petal must be sacrificed.
That's all I can really add
to this deck. You shouldn't
have too many problems with
it, and you should
definitely have a lot of fun
with it, especially when you
get a bunch of huge
creatures out and swinging.
