Champions Crowned at the TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series at Big Apple Comic Con

Jack Vargas Wins Saturday Standard, Robert Seder Wins Sunday Sealed

 

Syracuse, NY – October 4^th – In the first ever TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series at the Big Apple Comic Con, Jack Vargas and Robert Seder won their share of the $10,000 prize pool and earned their slots into the $75,000 TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series Championship event.

 

In the first major event spotlighting the Scars of Mirrodin Standard, hundreds of players brought  their wares to the new format but only one emerged as the first ever champion.  Jack Vargas piloted Valakut Ramp through a star-studded field as thousands of players followed the action through live streaming video by GGSlive, Twitter and Facebook.  Sunday Robert Seder earned the title of first ever Sealed $5k Wizard World Series Champion in an event highlighting the Scars of Mirrodin release weekend.

 

The next stop for the  TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series is New England Comic Con on October 15 -16 -17, in Boston, Massachusetts. Players will have their chance to join Jack, Robert and dozens of other qualifiers in the $75,000 TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series Championship.  In total over $250,000.00 in cash will be paid out during the inaugural year of the TCGplayer.com Wizard World Series.
