International ‘Magic’ Tournament Makes First Appearance in Puerto Rico
 
WHAT:  Wizards of the Coast is arriving in San Juan for the first ever Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour held in Puerto Rico. The world’s foremost Magic players will be at the Puerto Rico Convention Center from May 28-30 for a thrilling four-day Magic festival.  This weekend kicks off a summer filled with exciting casual, multiplayer releases and gaming activities for Magic players around the globe.
           
               The event is open to the public and Wizards of the Coast invites local fans and friends to experience Pro Tour–San Juan by participating in onsite activities including tournaments, game demos, artist signings and Massive Multiplayer Magic, something you’ll have to see to believe. Wizards of the Coast is also hosting a variety of contests, where participants can win a free trip to the next Pro Tour event in Amsterdam as well as other great prizes. 
 
               The Magic Pro Tour is the highest form of competitive play for the collectible trading card game with a “main event” that hosts the world’s top players. Side events offer something for everyone who attends, from those new to the game to seasoned players.
              
               Throughout the year, fans of the game participate in local Magic events, such as Friday Night Magic, a weekly tournament that offers a more casual gaming environment for players of all skill levels. Magic also offers multiplayer formats for those looking to compete against a large group of friends.
              
               Media are invited to attend and get an inside look at the Pro Tour to meet the players, local retailers and Wizards of the Coast employees that helped create the robust Magic community in San Juan – and beyond!
