Strategy:
This deck is
about gaining life with Wellwisher and finishing
with Timberwatch elf. The trick is that you can
untap them a lot with Quirion Ranger and Seeker of
Skybreak. Quirion Ranger has great synergy with
Skyshroud Ranger. Don't forget; you can use the
Quirion Ranger twice: during your turn and during
the opponents turn. When you see that you have more
creatures than your opponent and a Timberwatch Elf
(which you can untap) attack and pump the unblocked
creature. Your opponent will be toast.
The Guildmage is
great when you have a lot of mana (priest). It's the
only reason why Skyshroud Elf is in the deck: the
second ability can be pretty usefull sometimes.
Hivemaster is very usefull: it creates lots of
tokens (+life when you have Essence Warden). The
Tokens are good to attack/block and to clamp. You
have Wirewood Herald + clamp to search for them.
Sideboard:
Giant Growth vs
Weenie and Burn
Repopulate vs any
form of Mass Removal (infest, tremor, nausea,
pyroclasm) and other removal/burn
Llanowar Elite vs
Affinity (myr enforcer), Weenie (trample), other
Elfs.
Taunting Elf vs
Weenie, elfs
Molder vs
Affinity, skullclamps, other nasty
enchantments/artifacts
Tormod's Crypt vs
Psychatog (remove Wonder and block), other decks who
abuse the graveyard.
Tournament is in
