This was a hard deck to figure out. It was originally
3 colors with more 1CC slivers. That wasn't powerful enough,
so I upped it to 4 colors. But at that point it's hard to
get the mana right. But then I thought about Sphere and Star
and the fact that they cantrip.
They do slow you down a tad, but I find that you'll always
have a color in your early hand that matches some cards, so
you can play fast early on and then use left-over mana to
prepare for the next turn. Star cantrips even if destroyed.
The added muscle of Bonesplitter makes the deck's slower
start worth it.
Multiple Muscle Slivers and Sinew Slivers get the job done
as well. Crystalline Sliver is a very powerful card in the
format of Lightning Bolts and Faith's Fetters, ensuring that
your slivers will be left alone (remember there's not much
mass removal in this format). Winged and Shadow give your
guys evasion.
The deck can be pretty scary. I know I'm committing a mortal
sin by not running Virulent but it just wasn't right for
this deck. Pentad Prism is another thought I had, but I like
the cantrips drawing me into more slivers.
