This is not much of a report.  This is just a general overview and a listing
of the T8 decks.  

Our tournament got off to a late start because of some out of towners
arriving late.  However we still finished early.  We kicked off at around 12:
30 and had the final match being played and nearly done by 7:15.  Much thanks
go out to Lora and Kevin Franks for being such good judges and helping things
run along smoothly.

Several people came prepared with Blue Skies.  Many feel that it is the best
deck in the format.  I disagree.  However, when you enter an environment
where you are prepared for others to be playing the deck, and the rest of the
field is not ready for skies, then it's a WINNAH!  Fires had a player in the
final eight.  Something of note though: look at his decklist and sideboard.
They are not of the standard build.  I think that had a lot to do with him
winning.  Paul was better equipped to handle Blue Skies and the numerous Wash
Outs than the rest of the Blastogeddon and Fires decks were.  Also, there
were some interesting U/B decks that just barely missed the cut and one of
them slipped in.  Rebels also had a decent showing which placed two people in
the T8.  

Our next event will be a $25 entry fee with prizes to ALL of the T16 and will
be on March 3rd.  The first weekend of the New Type 2 Format !!! :)
