Strategy:
This deck uses cards like Yavimaya Elder, Wild Mongrel, and
Basking Rootwalla to help slow down quick play beatdown
decks, then followed by a Roar of the Wurm and/or a Sandbar
Crocodile to effectively stall the battleground. Eventually
it can punch through with its fatties or by pumping up
unblocked creatures with Predator’s Strike.
Against control, the battle turns into a war of attrition.
Try not committing many creatures to the board to minimizes
the effectiveness of “Wrath of God” like effects. Use cards
like Thought Courier and Catalog to gain a card advantage,
get a Roar of the Wurm or two into the graveyard in addition
to work towards threshold to overpower your opponent and to
keep counter answers to his or her answers to your threats
fresh in your hand.
