Subject: Noson's Top ten cards for a water deck
Hi, Noson here. It does feel strange rating the most helpful
water cards, since back in the PokéMon days i hated them,
but in Yu-gi-oh i feel the same love for these cards as i do
warrior or insect decks.
And that is simply because of the strategy and the back-up.
So, here are my top ten water cards you should be using:
10. Piranha Army
Great card in my opinion. Although a weak card, it gets
below Gravity Bind and doubles the battle damage it
inflicts. Equip it with a few power-ups and it can be a
force to be reckoned with.
9. Amphibious Bugroth MK-3
Good way to get to your opponents life-points! ALO powers
this guy up to 1700 and it can attack directly! (I won't be
mentioning Umi in this list, as ALO does a far better job)
8. The Legendary Fisherman Overlooked due to the errata, but
still, due to ALO, this guy becomes a 1850 level 5 attacker,
which cannot be attacked or Dark Holed.
7. Tornado Wall
Makes a great combo with The Legendary Fisherman and ALO.
Blocks all battle damage, and unless you duel someone with a
chaos or very good burn deck it is unlikely that you will
lose with this on the field.
Only trouble is keeping it on the field, and with so much
magic/trap removal, it is unlikely it should last more than
five turns.
6. Gogiga Gagagigo
The family of monsters no-one can say. This card gives an
added boost to Water decks, and with Umiruku (spelling soz)
its attack rises to a mighty 3450. Shame about it being
level 8...
5. Giga Gagagigo
ALO downgrades this card to a level 4 with 2650 attack
points. Need i say more?
4. Suijin
Contraversial choice, since that Gate Guardian is a waste of
space, but usually people don't spend time to analyse the
parts. With ALO this card becomes a one-tribute with 2700
ATK, and it's effect isn't too shabby either. Sure you may
enjoy trouncing new duellists with its special ability, but
there is a way to catch experienced players off guards. With
ALO out, tribute your monster and lay this card face-down.
When your opponent attacks, flip up your Light of
Intervention and use the effect. They miss the target, take
2400 damage, and with 2700 ATK you could probably finish off
their monster this turn.
3. Ocean Dragon Lord Neo-Daedalus
Quite hard to get out, by needing to sacrifice Levia, but
when you do this card is the finisher. 3100 ATK with ALO,
and by sacrificing it you an top-deck your opponent. If they
don't draw something good,
fast- it's game over.
2. Levia-Dragon-Daedalus
It may have a weaker effect, but thanks to ALO, you have a
1-tributable (?) 2800 monster! And with a drop of an ALO,
you're ready for 2600 damage (unless they have a Kuribo). My
tip- keep multiple copies of ALO, and keep thrashing them
each chance you get. Perfect for Levia-Dragon or his big
brother!
1. A Legendary Ocean
Surprise, surprise. I doubt any water deck in the world
doesn't have multiple copies of this card. Every card on
this page (and any water
card) can benefit from this aid. The centre of any water
deck!!!
