Subject: Nock's Top 10 Underrated Cards
Zantetsuken's Top 10 Underrated Cards!
10. Ceasefire
I'm sure this card isn't really underrated, however; it is
one of my favorites… This card is shear power and can pack a
quite punch. It negates flip effects, well, that's a huge
plus because of all the needle worms crawling around now,
unless your deck runs many of them. Then it inflicts damage
to your opponent equal to the number of effect monsters on
the field x500, that can be game breaking.
9. Needle Burrower
Needle Burrower is too, a giant if used correctly. There are
many combos with this card, there is the obvious Axe of
Despair, United We Stand, and/or Mage Power equips to make
it stronger, but you could also use cards like Mirror Wall.
With Mirror Wall you could easily smash a Black Luster
Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and with a quick 4000
direct damage. (That's half their life points >_<)
8. Peten the Dark Clown
Peten the Dark Clown is a great card. When it is in your
graveyard you can remove it to get another from your deck or
your hand. Great for deck thinning and protects you from
three attacks and you also get material for a tribute.
7. Emissary of the Afterlife
This card at first seems like it is kind of on the useless
side, however; it isn't limited and for those who run exodia
deck this is the card you have to deck three of. Your
opponent will probably not have a normal monster level 3 or
lower soo… yeah.
6. D.D. Designator
Hmm getting rid of a Sinister Serpent, pieces of Exodia,
anything fetched by Sangan or Witch of the Black Forest, or
anything you know your opponent has in his hand is great.
You get a look at your opponent's hand and can easily see
his/ her strategy. This works well if you run a deck with
D.D. Scout Plane, because you could just guess some random
card, get it wrong, and get to special summon D.D. Scout
Plane. Down side is you must have a card in your hand. =/
5. Card of Sanctity
Many people see this card as a "desperate times" card, but
this card could work well in a Dimension Fusion or Return
for the Different Dimension deck. Best case scenario: You
have a D.D. Survivor on the Field or two, some strong
monsters (BLS-EotB, Jinzo, etc.) and a D.D. Scout Plane in
your hand. You draw something like a returen from the
Different Dimension or a Dimension Fusion and something
else… your deck is bound to have something to save you.
Worst Case: ummm you have no cards on the field or in your
hand… except for Card of Sanctity.
4. Royal Command
With all of those Needle Worms, Magician of Faiths, Cyber
Jars, Morphing Jars, well just Flip Effect cards in general
roaming around this card will be the one to stop them.
People do not wish to waste space with a card that may not
be used… but every one run these cards now a days, -.-' so
it may be worth it if you don't wish to lose 5 cards form
your deck or get all cards in your hand or on the field
blasted.
3. Cat's Ear Tribe
These cats are ferocious. The effect is during the damage
step. So equip something like Axe of Despair or even a
Malevolent Nuzzler would work and just play it on the field.
I highly doubt that you opponent would attack it with a
jinzo or anything for that matter.
2. Big Bang Shot
This one is really important! If you equip Big Bang Shot on
your opponent and you Giant Trunade it, it will be removed
from play. But there is another trick to this card. When you
equip it to your opponent's monster and it attacks something
with low defense, then your opponent loses the life points
simply because of the text. If you don't get it then read it
again, you control the magic therefore, when it says your
opponent loses the life points it means YOUR opponent's life
points. Cool huh!
1. Ectoplasmer
Finally, my last card. This may be weird to you, but there
is a good combo with this card. Have you seen a common card
called Malice Doll of Demise? Well this is how that card
works… " If this card is sent from the field to the
Graveyard by the effect of a Continuous Spell Card, Special
Summon this card from the Graveyard during the Standby Phase
of your turn." With this card on the field with ectoplasmer
your opponent loses 800 life points per turn and you lose an
unknown amount, but the best part is you opponent loses
monsters per turn while you don't, and if he doesn't have a
monster then the effect still works for you.
Well that's all I have for all of you! Hope you enjoyed it.
