Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh!
Reader's Top Ten Lists
Blake's Top 10
annoying cards in advanced format
10. Scapegoat--Limited to
1, but still powerful stall power. Chain it to Mobius'
effect/MST/Heavy and you just bought yourself 3 more turns.
Worst case scenario, they have to play precious Smashing
Grounds or Lightning Vortex (which just gave you a +1).
9. Neo-Spacian Grand Mole--I've seen this thing used and
abused. Bounce back their Monarch and keep the mole in hand
for more fun. Nice when comboed with Cyber Dragon (but what
isn't?)
8. Mobius the Frost Monarch--If you manage to tribute summon
him, in all probability your opponent just lost those S/T
that would have saved them. He sets the standard for
tributes in this format imo.
7. Snatch Steal--One of the biggest game-enders (along with
Ring of Destruction) in this format. If you pull this off
late game, the downside (opponent's life points increase by
1000 during their standby) will not matter because you just
finished em' off.
6. Spirit Reaper--If the first effect of not being destroyed
in battle wasn't enough, he also nabs a card from your
opponent's hand when he hits directly. Extremely versatile,
he forces your opponent to waste a Smashing Ground on him
(but by this time you've already tributed him for a
Monarch).
5. Swords of Revealing Light--You can't attack for three
turns, but I can. It is known as a stall card, but it is
also very offensive (low defence face-down monsters are
flipped face-up). Never a good thing when an opponent
top-decks this on you.
4. Sakuretsu Armor--A favorite first-turn set. Excellent
1-for-1 that protects you from battle damage. Simple but
deadly.
3. Smashing Ground--The game's best 1-for-1 imo. Pack the 3
you're allowed if you got it, it's that good.
2. Cyber Dragon--It seems like every deck runs 3. They
create a mini-swarm that is very hard to overcome. Throw in
the fact that they can be fused into Cyber Twin Dragon,
Cyber End Dragon, and Chimeratech Dragon and you've got
yourself a broken monster across the board.
1. Mirror Force--Obvious choice, huh? The card just seems
like it is too good. And now that it is tournament legal,
the price has skyrocketed again. Your opponent will be
scared if you set ANY S/T because of this.
