Helping Prevent Magic/Trap Shutout--Mooch
From: William Wright <moochie_0107@yahoo.com>
Date: Sat, 18 Jun 2005 23:23:59 -0700 (PDT)
Hey all,
I'm really starting to become annoyed by the popularity of
the new decks that destroy all of my trap cards. I run
Burn/Stall, so this is shutting me down for now. I'll have
to wait for the fad to fade (hopefully TLM will help).
But for now I have to just stand tall and take it with
style. I've been thinking of a few cards that would help out
anybody with this problem.
The first card is a highly looked over and forgotten card,
but I am thinking it is my Miracle Card. It's called Double
Snare. For those of you who forgot, it's a card that
automatically destroys one card on the field that has an
affect that includes negating traps. It might not seem that
special, but think of how many Destruction decks have Jinzo
as a pain. And being a Spell card, Jinzo won't negate it.
Another one is probably commonly thought of but bears
repeating. It's Judgment of Anubis! This little card packs
quite a wallop to Heavy Storm. Discard one card from your
hand to negate the effect of one Spell card controlled by
your opponent that destroys Spell or Trap cards. But here's
the bonus! You can select one Monster on your opponents side
of the field and destroy it! If that's not good enough, your
opponent also takes damage equal to the current attack of
the monster! I have found this card to be a lifesaver. If
you want some more of it's power, you'll have to go on a
lesser level, a card called Curse of Royal.
For a little burn, you can add a card from The Lost
Millennium (SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT) called Kozaky's
Self-Destruct Button. It inflicts 1000 points of direct
damage to the player who destroyed it. The card's whole
purpose is to combat Phoenix.
Here's another forgotten card, Fake Trap. If one or more of
your Spell/Trap cards are going to be destroyed, activate
it, and you destroy it instead of ALL of them. And if it was
going to destroy your opponent's cards also, you can look at
them. It really stops Heavy Storm, and then you can check
out what your opponent has!
If your opponent has Jinzo, and your fresh out of Double
Snare, there's another card to help you out. Nothing stops
Jinzo in its tracks better than the classic... MAN EATER
BUG! I also enjoy the counterpart Night Assailant
(spelling?). I get a great kick when an opponent attacks
Man-Eater.
There is one more card I have worth mentioning. It's not the
greatest for this sort of protection, but can help get rid
of threats. I know, your about to kill me to get to the
chase so here it is, Gust. When 1 or more of your
Spell/Traps are destroyed, it destroys 1 Spell/Trap on your
opponents side of the field. I think that there's another
card just like it called Driving Snow. Could some one help
me out on that one??? :-)
Well, that's all for now, if ANYBODY has some ideas, I would
love if you helped me out and sent me some ideas. I would
also like some deck ideas. Any ideas, mad mail, or if you
have a topic for me to talk about, I can be contacted at:
moochie_0107@yahoo.com For now, please address me as Mooch.
I promise to do my best to reply to ALL e-mails.
your newly devoted informer,
Mooch :-P
PS If you don't know my name, that's because you don't. This
is my first report.
