Life, Fridges and Everything - fridginators

Yo, I am writing this on a vengence. I have been reading some stuff that really really annoys me, so buckle up, although this one might be shorter.

1. Ok, first off, Harpies are exactly bad. I know that they arent that potent but given the right deck, they would make a good maybe-tourney winning deck, well actually it depends on your local tourney. Seriously, you US guys have it easy! our tournaments in Aus are really hard, i am one of the best there but have only come second twice and first once (bloody karl and rio).

Lets say your monster line is like this:

Monsters:

Jinzo
Sacred Phoenix of Nepthys

Harpie Lady #1 x3
Spear Dragon x3
Slate Warrior x3
Hand of Nepthys
Breaker the Magical Warrior
Tribe Infecting Virus
Sinister Serpent
Enraged Battle Ox xsomething

see? A relatively good harpy deck, so, while they arent exactly good, they arent horrible.

2. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I SAY! Now i know this might seem arrogant but frankly a lot of people are being just idiots in the CCG section.

Ok, do not use bad cards, or even mediocre ones! While this sounds cookie cutterish (i do run BLS in all of my different decks except gravekeepers) it's important that you use the best cards you can. I am not really a casual playing person and I find it important that if there is a card that has a superior, you use that.

3. Never make huge combos.

Honestly, I have encountered so many people who, when i point out why on Earth they use such cards as Butterfly Dagger - Elma (without Exodia), Asura Priest and Twinheaded Beast and then they promply told me when i said that card sucks that "It has such a good combo with *insetcardnamehere*." The problem with combos such as these, while deadly (maybe) if pulled off, the difficulty pulled off is extreme. Do you know that out of about 5000 regionals ever hosted, I doubt that even one of them had Exodia in them.
Why? It's a five card combo that is just extremely difficult to pull off, but i would run it over Twinheaded Beast and Asura Priest because it's combo can at least be aided by Sangan and Emissary and it will win you the game.

So what if i can equip something to Asura Priest and then kill my opponents monsters? For that *alright* combo I am running a useless monster and wasting my normal summon AND the equip. So what if i summon Twinheaded Beast and use Wild Natures Release on it on a clear field? When was the last time you saw a clear field? Ring, Mirror Force, Call, Torrential, not to mention Scapegoat, Book of Moon and Enemy Controller. See what I mean? Simple combos, that are just mainly coincidence, with cards that can work by themselves are GOOD combos. Summoning Sangan then Torrentialing, thats a good combo. Dumping Dark Magician of Chaos with Graceful and then Premature Burialing it, thats a great combo! Playing Delinquent and then getting it back with Magician (DMOC or Faith), that is just so sick that i will bash my head with a frying pan! Playing Mirage of Nightmare and then playing Emergency Provisions on it after you drew 4 cards is absolutely great! (I will get down to that a bit below).

Notice how all these combos only involve a couple of cards? Also notice that these cards (beside Mirage and Provisions) are great by themselves? Exactly.
*Sigh*, if i see someone posting more stupid combos the Drumsticks are at the ready, seriously, they hurt a lot. Ahhh i love playing drums, man it's an excuse to go wild, but i love playing jazz, you gotta think about the jazzzzzz (quoted from my friend Ryan, who always says that at Jazz Band).

4. Ok i admit, i made mistakes (Never be like me and actually test cards before rating them).

Ok, for everyone out their, I am sorry about underating Mirage of Nightmare, Vampire Lord, Magic Drain, Thestalos, Waboku and other stuff.

HOWEVER, please do not go on about your continuable worship of these cards, as i will go over them briefly in a moment. I chose these cards, they are not the best ever and many people DO overate them. ok after coming back from my tuneless nothings, here they are

Mirage needs a lot of skill to play and you need to use it carefully. it should have only really been run in decks that REALLY needed draw power like warriors and zombies (who run many tributes). great outcomes, high risk.
also ermengcy provisions is a bad topdeck.

Vampire Lord, well i am an idiot for underating this guy. he is great! he is really really really hard to kill and strips your opponents recourses. man i hate playing against this guy, which is why i am making a zombie deck.

Thestalos is a good monster. the hand discard can really hurt sometimes, (stupid rio, discarding BLS) and he does have good stats. however, it is only 1 card and zaborg and mobius are usually much better plays. thestalos isnt level 5!

Magic Drain is the only playable spell negation (besides some monsters like
Lv7 and Lv8) left in advanced. however, when you consider the advantages of getting a 2 for 1, your opponent also gets the spells effect. so if they activate pot, you chain drain, they discard something, they still get a +1 advantage.

Waboku is basically a filler. I still dont like it. It Is NOT a staple for crying out loud! it is a -1 advantage for you. Windstorm of Etaqua is MUCH better. yes it is not as reliable but there are only 1 mst and 1 heavy storm. Also, it allows you to kill the monsters in a much easier fashion.
why do you think people run book of moon and enemy controller? beware of the new rulings though about card changing positions.

5. Get your head out of Bottomless Trap Hole!

Man this card is worse than Waboku. I mean the overating of it is, its much more playable than waboku.

Ok YES IT CAN KILL V LORD YOU HAVE SAID THAT! Yes it can kill phoenix! Doing it on BLS/Mobius/Breaker is great too. But seriously, a lot of the time it is a dead draw. What if your opponent has BLS on the field? Your screwed.
What if Jinzo exists (ok i shouldnt preach about that). I just dont like the fact that it can be a dead draw a lot of the time. Its a great early draw but isnt the best when your in trouble.

Now take the ever-underated Sakuretsu Armour. It can kill something as long as it attacks. While it doesnt kill V lord or the rarely played Phoenix (so
underated) it is SO much more reliable. OMG i just got back from about 2 months of not typing this. Anyway, Bottomless IS a good card. But please dont say Sakuretsu sucks, i bet you used to run like at least 2 copies of it in the October 2004 bans. And anyway, who runs Sacred Phoenix anymore (unfortunately). When i went to Gamescape (game convention) i saw about 2 zombie decks. Everyone was running something else.

Ok i finally posted. Sorry that im not doing much, but PLEASE visit http://www.freewebs.com/dbcenteral/yugioh.htm and www.freewebs.com/azzasfridge to see my COTW and deck stuff.

shiny_golden_boy@hotmail.com for those for that still want to send me emails. I LIKE FIXING DECKS OK? Sure i might be a little late when i get many reviews but please send me emails, even if you say you hate me. Any mail is good mail, especially argumentative mail.

cya guys! Btw my tournament record is 3 wins and 2 2nds, dont laugh it is a REALLY hard tourney. Wish me luck for tomorrow.

And so says fridginators, who is currently addicted to Warcraft and is trying not to change his deck every night as he is prone to do.

Won't you play with my Ding a Ling........... I mean;

The Babel Fish has an odd effect, when you put it in your ear you can
instantly understand anything said to you in any form of language. Now this
is so highly bizzare so many have seen it as the final clinching proof of
the non existance of god. The argument goes like this:

"I refuse to proove I exist," Says God. "For proof denies faith and without
faith i am nothing."
"But," Says Man. "The Babel Fish is a dead give away. It prooves you exist
and therefore you dont. QED."
"Oh," Says God. "I hadn't thought of that," And promptly vanishes in a puff
of logic.
"Oh that was easy," Says Man and for an encore goes to prove that black is
white and gets killed on the next zebra crossing.

I like the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy
