The Mixing Pot, The Experience - Xcellence

Here we go again ladies and gents. Xcellence is back, but for what? Because, I am special! Just messing guys, I actually have stuff to talk about besides my specialness. This article has a wierd title, that I hope attracted you to my article. It doesn't mean that I am talking about duelists from different parts of the world with different cultures. I will however write an article on them once I meet more of the unique duelists of today. This is the mixing pot because, I am mixing a bunch of questions from different writers into this article, and then answering them.

Our first question comes from:
(CCG Tips) Some Ideas for being more ... original? -- PHOENIX

PS. Would you watch the Yu-Gi-Oh CCG World Championship Tournament if it was on television?

Well then, we got ourselves a very interesting question here. For me, I suppose it all depends. I mean I'm not going to sit and watch the same show for 5 hours. I like my 5 hours of telivision with variety. I'll watch some cartoons, maybe some ESPN, G4TV is always cool, but I can't sit down and watch shows like the Superbowl that seem to last forever.

So, if it was in a decent time frame, I might just watch the finals. Why? Because I like dueling, not watching other people duel. The fun of the game for me is in playing it. Not watching others have all the fun. I also might watch the Americans duel, and cheer them on. I mean, what American doesn't want to have their country win the championships?

Okay, so moving onto our next questions.

This one comes from:

Interesting...Anteaus

"What is winning?"

Yay! I love this question. This question means different things to different people, meaning that pretty much every answer will be different in some way. Plus, I can't be wrong. This is MY answer. But I could look extremly shallow, so I guess I will answer this one with care.

Winning to me is coming out of a good, happy duel with a smile on both my face, and my opponent's. Actually winning the duel doesn't mean much to me. Whether I come out of the duel with 0 or 8000 lifepoints I'm still a winner if I enjoyed it. If you like the duel, I say you win. If you had fun and gave it your all, you're a winner. I also like when my opponent is happy to, I know I have truly won when I have made a new friend.

I don't really like winning easy duels, I mean I don't feel like I accomplished anything.Whats the point of beating some newbie? I feel like a winner when I see that newbie become a great duelist.

Winning to me means a lot of things, my reasons might seem a wee bit corny. But it's the truth, I'm not some kind of bad a$$ I'm a strange kid who likes to duel (not that dueling is what makes me strange).

Okay, and our final question for today comes from:

BattyMan's Feel Good Article of the Year

This is BattyMan saying, am I the only one who thinks “What Would Yugi Do?”
would look awesome on a t-shirt?

I thought I'd end my question answering session with a mighty interesting question like this one. I know that many of us are familar with the question "What Would Jesus Do?", but instead of boggling your minds and offending at least one reader I will keep my distance from comparing those two questions.

"What would Yugi do?" Is it just me or does it sound like the person wearing this shirt sounds like he's worshipping a cartoon with some really spiffy hair? Sure, it's funny and creative. I'd like to see someone wear it, but I wouldn't. It would look good on someone else, but I don't like the principle.

It's like asking myself "What would Scooby Doo do (hehe)?" whenever I am trying to solve a word problem. Yugi isn't a real person, he doesn't have his own ideas. He's a piece of paper that many of us have grown to adore. If the quote works for you, if it keeps you a good duelist, use it. But I don't believe in it, so it would look bad on my shirt, but good on your's battyman. Sorry if I affended you batty, I like your writing and was just giving my opinion.

So, to conclude this article I thought I would ask you guys a question, and maybe I would include some of the answers in my next article. Questions are the foundation of discussions homies. Okay here we go, it's the last question of the article, I promise:

What do you think of the new yugioh series coming out? (link to it:http://yugioh.com/gx.php)

Please include stuff like if you'd keep dueling, if you'd like it better than the classic yugioh and junk like that.

Okay, time for all you fans and anti-Xcellences to come and give me your opinion, love, hate, and cards. (feel free to give me free cards :))

This article is dedicated to: The writers or Pojo, whether they are in the Spotlight, or here in the tip section. You guys rock.

-Xcellence
