Subject: SP Deck Building System - Springo

Springo's Deck Creation Guide:

Hi, I'm Springo and I am here with my first article ever. I'm going to give you a guide to build your deck around.

Step 1: Preparation:

First thing you should ever do with a deck is know what kind of deck you would like to build. You need a style and a theme.

Styles: Beat-down, Swarm, Trample, FTK, Control, Defense and many more.

Themes: There are many themes; you can use Attributes, Types, Single Cards with combos, E-Hero's or others like that.

Step 2: Collection:

Find as many cards as possible which work with or support your theme as closely as possible. Make sure that they all work with at least 2 other cards in the collection otherwise they may not fit perfectly with the other cards.

Step 3: Refinement:

Now, from all the card you have go through the ones which are closest and most relevant to the theme. Get around 17-20 Monster cards, try to use less than 10 Normal monster cards, 14-17 Spell cards and 3-6 Trap Cards. That should balance your deck to around 40 cards which is a recommended card total.

Step 4: Play Testing:

Now you have your deck, you should test it against as many decks as you can get in order to see how good the deck is against many varieties of deck. Try to see when the weaknesses are an think of how to address them. Say you can't get enough drawing power, add a pot of greed or Graceful Charity. Also look for card which do not seem to do what you intended.

Step 5: Blocking:

Here you gather the cards which can be used to block any weaknesses you found. Swap in and out cards from what you have found and what cards don't work until you have a very good combination of cards to make your deck.

Yours,

Springo
