Hello, all. I'm back with my first deck that was a deck theme sent to me.
First off, I want to apologize. I was informed of a ruling on Null and Void that greatly hurt Searing Silence, the first deck I sent. As it turns out, the Disturbance Strategy/Null and Void combo doesn't exist. Woe is me! This deck is ruined! No, it's not. I'll press on. I'd hoped to conquer every deck I ran into with this one. It will be harder now, but I won't give up.
Anyway...on to the deck. One of the first deck themes sent in to me was a deck based on Hiita the Fire Charmer. I wondered at first how to build a deck around this monster. At first, I thought about a charmer deck in general. But I realized that the charmers wouldn't work so well together. So I decided to make a fire deck with a little more focus on Hiita.
First, the cards.
Monsters
Hiita the Fire charmer and Familiar-Possessed Hiita Obviously, being a Hiita based deck, we need Hiita in both forms. Not much else to say, really. Both are in three's.
Fire Princess You'll quickly find that this deck has a mild burn side to it. Also...there are two FIRE monsters (this one is one of them) that are used for one of the main combos here. Used in three's.
Lava Golem This too is part of a good combo...sort of. It's also decent burn...but you might not want to use it for that, since there aren't really any stall cards in the deck. Run in two's.
Manticore of Darkness Part of the above mentioned combo with Fire Princess. Also a FIRE monster, which fits the deck. Used in two's since that's what's needed for the combo.
Gaia Soul the Combustible Collective This one's a good choice. It can be excellent when you want to push for the win. It's also a good choice to offer with a used-up Hiita to summon Familiar-Possessed, since it's destroyed at the end of the turn. Run in two's.
Solar Flare Dragon As I said, the deck has a little burn to it. So, this card is added to help that. Run in three's.
UFO Turtle UFO Turtle is the FIRE searcher. So, of course it's gonna be in here. Run in two's.
Spells
Creature Swap This deck kinda focuses on taking control of the opponent's monsters. It adds to the usefulness of the combo I'll explain later. Run as many as are allowed, AKA two.
Card of Safe Return This card is in here for one of the combos I've already mentioned. Be patient, you'll find out. This card is run in two's.
Wave-Motion Cannon A great burn card, so it helps here. There's really not much to say about it. Run in two's.
Graceful Charity You'll have a couple of combos you'll want to get available as soon as possible. The return of Graceful Charity made that easier. Too bad you can only use one.
Swords of Revealing Light For me, Swords is a staple in any deck. It's basically three attack-free turns. Also helps to protect your less powerful monsters here, which is a good thing.
Premature Burial I was kinda iffy about this card. There isn't really much reason to bring back your monsters. Unless you want to go for the win with a big attack.
Mystical Space Typhoon This is one of the only three S/T destruction cards in the deck. I didn't want to use Heavy Storm since you'll have a few cards that are vulnerable to that.
Traps
Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai I only really put this in here because it's a Hiita based deck, and Hiita is on the picture here, so...well, you get the idea. Still, a useful choice for one of the combos. Only one in here.
Solemn Wishes The final piece in the best combo of the deck. So, it's obviously needed. In two's to help the chances of the combo.
DNA Transplant Hm...another card I was iffy about. It'll make all your opponent's monsters FIRE, so you can control them with Hiita. Only run in one, though.
Mirror Force There are few decks that could do without Mirror Force. Whether this is one of them is up to you.
Solemn Judgment Solemn Judgment is costly. But, with Solemn Wishes here, it makes the price a little easier to pay. Which is good, since Solemn Judgment is like an all-purpose negation card. Run in two's.
Dust Tornado As I said, there are only three S/T destruction cards in this deck. This is one of them. Or rather two of them.
Call of the Haunted As with Premature Burial, I don't know whether I should have this in here. But there are some monsters you might want to bring back.
And there you are. Now here's the deck list for this Hiita the Fire Charmer deck:
She's Hot Monsters Lava Golem x2 Manticore of Darkness x2
Hiita the Fire Charmer x3 Familiar-Possessed Hiita x3 Fire Princess x3 Gaia Soul the Combustible Collective x2 Solar Flare Dragon x3 UFO Turtle x2
Spells Creature Swap x2 Card of Safe Return x2 Wave-Motion Cannon x2 Graceful Charity Swords of Revealing Light Premature Burial Mystical Space Typhoon
Traps Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai Solemn Wishes x2 DNA Transplant Mirror Force Solemn Judgment x2 Dust Tornado x2 Call of the Haunted
So, let's look at the combos of this deck. The first is one I sent in earlier. It involves four cards: Fire Princess, Manticore of Darkness, Card of Safe Return, and Solemn Wishes. It's simple: have Solemn Wishes and Card of Safe Return active and Fire Princess on the field. Use Manticore's effect to bring it back by sending another Manticore to the grave. You'll draw a card thanks to Card of Safe Return and then gain LP thanks to Solemn Wishes. Then, Fire Princess will deal damage thanks to you gaining from Solemn Wishes. Do this over and over until the opponent's LP are gone.
The other combo involves the main monster of this deck, Hiita the Fire Charmer. Offer your opponent's monsters for Lava Golem. Then, either flip Hiita and take over Lava Golem or use Creature Swap to trade a weak FIRE monster for Lava Golem and then flip Hiita to take over the monster you swapped. Either way, you need to have Hiita available to flip for Lava Golem.
Hm...I don't know about the weaknesses of this deck. I don't even know that there are any. Maybe something running multiples of Divine Wrath or Light of Intervention. Those could hurt the effects of Hiita.
As for strengths...it's best used against a deck that likes to swarm. Offer their monsters for Lava Golem...well, you get the idea.
Well, that's about it. Send any questions, comments, or deck themes can be sent to GUYOBRAINS@aol.com.
